Caroline Amoros est une artiste pionnière de l’usage de l’art dans l’espace public au niveau international.
Artiste corporelle issue du travail sur scène, transversale, pluridisciplinaire et sans frontières, elle navigue de villes en villes à travers le monde, de centres d’arts contemporain en théâtres, de festival de danse, en festival de performance, de pays en pays, afin de placer l’art au plus proche de la vie.
Elle aime la puissance de la douceur (Anne Dufoumantelle), et ses propositions ouvertes à tout type de structures partent toujours de la particularité culturelle et sociale des lieux et pays qu’elle investit toujours en complicité avec les structures qui l’accueillent.
Son regard interrogateur posé sur l’actualité et sur le photo-journalisme et son évolution a teinté son parcours poétique d’une réflexion particulière. Aux côtés du photo-journaliste de la presse nationale Raphaël Helle, qui suit son travail depuis 1997, elle a donné sens et particularité a ses personnages issus de la compagnie laboratoire Pyramide op de Punt dirigé par Jan Ruts à Anvers, fidèle au metteur en scène belge qui l’a formée à toutes les techniques corporelles et à la scène (recherches et expérimentation sur le théâtre gestuel et visuel, la danse, l’improvisation, le mime gestuel et l’acrobatie).
Caroline Amoros a débuté avec Morton Potash et Ingeborg Liptay à Montpellier, danse et mime Decroux. Elle participe également au développement du lieu et du festival « De Beweging » à Anvers. Elle a étudié aussi la danse contemporaine (Laban), l’improvisation et les Arts Plastiques à Winnipeg (Canada) et à Londres. Spécialiste des cultures anglo-saxonnes elle obtient un BA en linguistique générale et un master sur le théâtre élisabéthain à Stratford upon Avon.
Toujours au fait de l’actualité, auteur de poésie corporelle pour l’espace public, elle poursuit son travail de créatrice à l’international et intervient comme créatrice dans les écoles d’art. Elle collabore avec Maria de Corte, chorégraphe d’avant-garde belge. Dans toutes ses créations, elle mêle les genres, les recherches, de la représentation théâtrale à la performance, du réel à la fiction.
Miss Yellow, créée au Royal National Theater à Londres, part à la Marche Mondiale des femmes à New York en 2000 avec le photographe Raphaël Helle. Ce sont les premiers travaux d’infiltration d’un personnage de fiction dans le réel, avec les premières photos dans le « New York Times ».
En 2006, elle crée le personnage de Kristin. Elle se rend aux États-Unis en 2008 avec le photo journaliste Raphaël Helle pour s’infiltrer dans la campagne électorale de Barak Obama. Cette performance photographique, sera relayée en direct sur un blog le monde « Kristin US », et aura une grande reconnaissance médiatique et publique.
En 2010, Caroline Amoros et Raphaël Helle entament un travail sur le dérèglement climatique avec Miss O’Range, ils partent au Maroc, se glissant cette fois dans les espaces privés, (golfs, hôtels cinq étoiles, et autres résidences…), ainsi qu’à Stockholm où Miss O’Range sera programmée par le Théâtre de Stockholm en 2012, de même sur les traces de la fonte des glaciers d’Islande et à Dubaï avec le soutien de l’Institut Français.
Les travaux de Miss O’Range se poursuivent avec des projets en Australie, au parc national le Gran Paradiso et au Greenland
Son projet « Kiki d’Helsingor » a été réalisé pour le Théâtre d’Helsingor entre la France, la Suède et le Danemark, sur la question de l’identité.
L’Institut Français porte une attention toute particulière à la démarche de création de Caroline Amoros et Raphaël Helle depuis 1998.
« Le monde de ce siècle le vingt-et-unième dans la liste, en est à sa genèse, ça sent le souffre et la glace, c’est pas trop le matin du monde et son haleine est chargée en voulez-vous en voilà, néanmoins des enfants naissent encore qu’on promène dans des poussettes et qui verront peut-être la fin de ce vingt-et-unième, La Miss n’est pas déjà arrivée, tardive est un peu son arrivée qui sera néanmoins éclatante et salvatrice, d’ailleurs tenez la voilà entre chien et loup avec un vert croco, et le monde d’un coup fait ouf, c’est que le monde qui est aussi barbouillé que tracassé, a néanmoins des yeux partout et sait que là où passe La Miss ça remet de l’ordre dans ses synapses, de l’allégresse dans ses rouages et du bonus à sa partie, aussi soupire-t-il une seconde fois ouf »

Caroline Amoros is an pioneering artist in the use of art in public spaces, creating links between projects in different countries.
Corporal artist coming from stage work, multi-disciplinary and without borders, she navigates from cities to cities around the world, from contemporary art centers to theaters, to dance festivals and performance festivals, from country to country to bring art close to life. She transposes her understanding of the stage into urban and natural spaces.
Her proposals are open to any type of structures. Her intention is to express the cultural and social particularity of places and countries, working in complicity with the structures that welcome her.
She loves the Power of Gentleness (Anne Dufourmantelle).
Her questioning gaze on the news and on photo-journalism and its evolution tinged her poetic journey with a particular reflection. Alongside the photo-journalist of the national press, Raphaël Helle, who followed her work since 1997, she gave special meaning to her characters. She developed her characters influenced by the laboratory company Pyramid Laboratory op Punt in Antwerp, true to the Belgian director Jan Ruts who trained her in all body techniques and the scene.
Caroline Amoros began with Morton Potash and Ingeborg Liptay in Montpellier, studying dance and mime Decroux. Always aware of current events, writer of body poetry for public spaces, she continues her creative work abroad and acts as a creator in art schools. She collaborates with Maria de Corte, choreographer from the Belgian avant-garde, with the writer Rémi Checchetto, with the Mister X , Lieutenant Tortion and Arno le Tattoo. In all her creations, she mixes genres. She researches, from theatre to performance, mixing reality and fiction.
Miss Yellow, created at The Royal National Theatre in London, participated in the Women’s World March in 2000 with the photo-journalist Raphaël Helle. These are the first works of infiltrating a fictional character into the real world, with the first photos in the « New-York Times ».
In 2006 she created the character «Kristin». She went to the United State in 2008 with Helle to infiltrate into Obama’s campaign. This photographic performance was relayed live on the blog Le Monde « Kristin US » and received great media and public recognition.
In 2010, Caroline Amoros and Raphael L begin a work on climate change with Miss O’Range. They went to Morocco, slipping this time into private spaces (golf courses, five star hotels, and other residences … ) and in Stockholm, where Miss O’Range was programmed by the Theatre of Stockholm in 2012, and in the footsteps of melting glaciers of Iceland, and in Dubai with the support of the French Institute. The project Miss O’Range is on going, with actions planned in Australia, at the natioanl Parc Gran Paradiso and in Greenland.
Her project « Kiki Helsingor » was directed for Helsingor’s Theatre between France, Sweden and Denmark, working on the question of identity.
